PS: Baby, I love you.

I couldn’t tell if I was crying because I knew my heart was about to break or if it was because I knew I'd found my home.

I feel good when I give, I feel strong when I am able to take care of others, I feel proud when my life is greater than my own.

I find it fascinating that I do the exact opposite of what I coach my humans to do. It's bizarre that we can be so good, healthy, caring and loving for others and at the same time, so bad for ourselves.

nothing feels more comforting than a trusted person, in a safe place with a kind heart to lift our spirits. And, nothing feels better than knowing how to pass that comfort onward to others in our lives.

Think about it; how often do you really see something when someone else is showing it to you. Never. We see when we’re ready. We see when we know our truths and understand who it is we are supposed to be.

What we put ourselves through in the past has molded us to be able to take on our own future.

I want my humans to know that they are loved, that life is not their fault, that it’s OK to feel sad, it's OK to be confused, it's OK to feel relief even when the release is hard.

I am proud to be a long term family for my daughter, Blue. I'm also remarkably proud to be a short term family for my current humans and whichever other kids come into my life.

It's an amazing thing about animals, they can be in pain or distraught but as soon as they sense their human is having any kind of emotion they put all of that away.

Life is hard to comprehend as it is, let alone when their brains haven't fully developed, plus going through puberty and trauma all at the same time. Sounds exhausting, doesn't it? It is.

Feeling bad about an epidemic isn't good enough, find a shelter near you and give. Then give some more.

Luckily, I was half way through my foster training classes and knew the most important part of fostering kids. Love and structure and I have a lot of both. I was ready for her.

Redeemed because my two youngest humans have shown empathy towards me. Most adults don't know how to manage that emotion.

In my heart I always knew I would be taking care of things that will leave me. I have that aura, when people are in need, they find me and when they're healed, they leave.

I have the ability to reflect back and see situations through a different lense. Though, I still have not figured out how to reflect those situations forward.

I watch people in my life breath the purpose I thought I would have and find myself thinking "what the hell is going on here? Am I invisible?" Maybe I am, I don't know.
